Re: [PLUG] Laptop and Wireless on Linux

Other folks prolly know more about this than me but I have recently been messing w/ Gentoo linux on my laptop. If you have apm (advanced power management) compiled into your kernel then you should have support for monitoring it. I know in KDE there are some panels that show your power and enable some power saving options. You'll have to check the docs because I haven't gotten that for into it yet. Not sure at all about hot swap drives, though :-) Good luck.

Has the info on support for more recent cards and how to compile to work
with card services.

I just got a new Laptop with a D-link wireless airport card and a D-link
router. Has anyone here had any success with Linux on the Laptop and
wireless ethernet? I searched and I haven't found any support for the

Linux

D-links site. I was thinking about setting up a dual boot to test this

out

what do you think?

Thanks
Matt
