SWAT is OK, but I prefer the editing the config manually. Some people like to use Webmin, which also has modules for administering other services through a browser.

I would suggest using SWAT (Samba Web Admin. Tool). It makes the config very painless and there is a ton of on-line docs. If you are using Red Hat, it will be disabled after install. Edit /etc/xinetd.d/swat and change the line "disable = yes" to no. You can access it via you browser (ex: localhost:901).
