[PLUG] gnuplot and statistics 

I have some data I can plot with gnuplot. It's not as meaningful as
I'd like. (Well, maybe it's even random, but I don't know yet.) I'd
like to do some statistics. Even just computing rolling averages and
such would be helpful.

Anyone have any opinions on programs to help with this? Writing
filters in perl comes to mind, but maybe there's something better. I'm
just not finding it.
