Well, 007 takes a vodka martini, not a gin one, where his "shaken
not stirred" is slightly less ridiculous, but it's always been
(purposely, I think) more than a little outlandish. (Especially
with gin, but also with good vegetable--like protato--based vodkas,
one stirs, rather than shakes, to mix because knocking the ice
cubes about in the alcohol bruises its flavor.)
