I use "ntpdate xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" to sync with an Internet time server. You could use it to sync with any computer running a time server (ntpd?). The system updates the BIOS clock at shutdown.

To sync Windows to a Samba server you could use "net time \\servername /set".
