RE: [PLUG] lilo won't boot

OK, sorry for the delay on this, but, I was waiting until I got back to
school where I have a lot more equipment and disks with which to work on
this.

The problem was NOT lilo, nor the install (as I was able to boot the install
on my brand new machine), but, the problem was the compaq that I was using.
I grabbed a P166 from a friend and put everything in and it just all worked.

So, long story short, problem solved.

LI means that the first stage of the boot loader was able to load the
second stage of the boot loader but could not execute it. This can
either be caused by a geometry mismatch, or by moving /boot/boot.b
without running the map installer.

I have run into this kind of trouble in the past and you need to start
your system from a boot floppy. chroot to your root partition on your
hard drive and rerun lilo.
