[PLUG] Paul McCartney in Swahili

I noticed that XMMS plays all of my MPEG videos with the audio lagging
the video. I can watch Paul singing and hear it long after it happens,
kind of like a bad foreign movie.
`man xmms' doesn't seem to indicate any options to fix this. Seems to
be the same with other players too (when they aren't crashing). Is my
machine's audio caught in a temporal dysplasia? What *is* a temporal
dysplasia? Stay tuned, kids.
Has anyone else experienced this?
