Actually, they couldn't love Mono more. The more platforms .NET runs on, the more chances they have to infiltrate businesses, organizations, desktops and governments. They have voiced this opinion themselves. .NET is not about a development platform, its about an execution platform that brings Microsoft away from being a software company, and into being a services company.
