due to their linux support, I purchased an HP PSC750 printer/scanner/copier. linuxprinting.org pointed me in the right direction and I got the necessary software (for Debian sid). It located the device immediately and I made it the default (/dev/usb/lp0). It starts up fine on boot. This is all well and good but *I* can't find it. Attempting to install from the CUPS gui produced a KDE control module error - an error occurred while retrieving the printer list - client-error-not-found. I'm sure it's something obvious but I don't do obvious well. Thanks, Jeff (mangling Debian for damn near 2 months :) _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
