OK, Following the fine advice I got here, I took a look in /etc/modules.conf, and found that the soundcard driver is aliased to libranet-sound-0. Then looked in /etc/modutils and found a file called libranet-sound. I added this line to the file: options libranet-sound-0 joystick=0x200 then did update-modules and voila! Thanks Fred and Stephen (and others!) So, am I the only user of a joystick under linux? As I mentioned, I want to use flightgear. I can't even think of any other games under linux which use joysticks. Fred, did you mention you had one? Greg -- Privileged/Confidential information may be contained in this message.
