So forwarding is enabled. With forwarding enabled you will be able to
access the outer-net from the inter-net just like you would otherwise
given that the route is setup properly and that you have something
internally resolving names.

Then from there, you can add/remove the firewall rules one by one if you
like, testing each as you go along.
