[PLUG] OpenOffice splash screen

Does anyone know how to disable the OpenOffice splash screen? It
appears on every desktop, "on top" of other applications, meaning that I
can accomplish nothing while OO loads.
If there is no way to do it via OO configuration, is there an X or KDE
utility that forces windows into the background?
