Re: [PLUG] /etc on a separate partition

On a loosly related note, recently I backed up my entire /etc, but when I went to retrieve /etc/grub.conf, I was reminded that /etc/grub.conf is a symlink to /boot/grub/grub.conf. Major bummer. Why did they, RedHat or the GRUB people, do that?
