RE: [PLUG] WebsiteOS

The dotster hosting is handled through a company called hostlane ( [] -- that ip is close to dotster, and both ip's
are owned by Cable and Wireless).

Since that isn't an option, does anyone know of a product that allows for a
simple web interface to the various aspects of your server, like the whole
cobalt system, only (and preferably) free (as in beer) or close to it.

I've come across this ( site that claims
WebsiteOS as their product. Hostopia bills itself as an outsourcing service.
IOW your 30 days of free hosting is branded by Dotster (? See below), but
the actual hosting is on Hostopia. Along those lines I decided to try a ping
on several sites that use WebsiteOS.

Pinging [] with 32 bytes of data
Pinging [] with 32 bytes of data
Pinging [] with 32 bytes of data
Pinging [] with 32 bytes of data

Whois on gives a NetRange of -

Dotster however:
Pinging [] with 32 bytes of data

Which is odd unless the hosting is not by Dotster.

I doubt that you'll be able to buy WebsiteOS for your own system.
