I wouldn't do it unless you have sales agreements before completing the deal. I have a one-year-old laptop which is already obsolete compared to this year's models. Unless you get a really good wholesale price, there is a good chance of losing money on the deal, or the sale price would have to be higher than the hardware would be worth. Might as well pay the M$ Tax, get current hardware, remove Windows and install Linux. Paying the "Tax" isn't as bad when you average it against the cost of it's replacement OS.
