IMHO, he wasn't asking for *any* interface, but for the raw data (i.e. a one line sql statement dumping the tables onto a CD image or something)


It's a bit ambiguous, but I'm not too sure you're right about this.
You're requesting that they provide you with a full dump of just
these several field of their table. That isn't the medium in which
it exists; it exists buried in a database (which may very well have
other information, including things that may NOT qualify under the
Right to Know Act).

Again, this is a one line SQL statement to get the non-protected fields.

I think it is reasonable to ask for DB dumps of public data, as long as you pay a small fee for a clerk to run the query and copy it to some sort of portable media.
