I don't think you could use two regular modems simultaneously simply 
because modems weren't designed to work that way.  Although, it is 
technically possible, the same way FM radio is divided into multiple 
channels based on frequency.  What you mentioned above would be like the 
result of two radio stations broadcasting at the same frequency; that's 
not entertainment.
