unless i missed it they also didn't touch on another big reason: quotas.
afaik ext2 with acl's/ea's still leads to crashing systems if you also
have quotas on the filesystem.  i forget the details, but i think some
of the filesystem metadata overlaps.

also, i don't know if you can put acl's on ext2 directories like you can
in solaris, which is really nice for dealing with the whole emacs
"unlink-and-create-new-file-owned-by-me" thing.
