Then, I'd suggest one of 2 things:

1. Install your Mandrake 9.1
2. a. Buy Win4Lin, which will allow you to run a full instance of thte
real MS Win98SE and MS Office, in a window on your desktop.
    b. Buy CrossOver Office, which will let you run MS Office without the
need for Win98SE at all.

Dunno what version of Word you need, but I know that I used to run Office
XP inside of a Win4Lin window that was running Win98. Outlook XP wouldn't
work, but all the other components do. And since you are running Office
under the real Win98 (as opposed to CrossOver, which is much more of a
specialized version of the WINE emulator), you can run any Win software. I
used to run Photoshop 6 in my Win4Lin window. You can't run other software
with CrossOver Office (well, it will run some things, but not as much as
Win4Lin).

Both products are less than $100.
