Yes, you can do that. I hate AOL with a passion but my son loves it. I have a DSL
connection here with numerous linux/M$ systems networked together. My son has the
aol bring your own access which he runs on one of the windoze machines on my
local net.

Works fine, lasts a long time, although I can not for the life of me see the
usefulness to aol. For that matter MSN, hotmail etc all fall in that category
for me but that is just my $.02. 

I guess that is why there are choices in life. :-)
