Another vote for dyndns.org. I've used them since they were free (3 or 4 years ago) and I see that up to now my dyndns domains are still alive (i'm now doing my own dns for the past 4 months). There are even 3rd party programs that will update dyndns dns for you (run in cron to detect if your IP has changed, that kind of thing).
