[PLUG] Linux Anniversary Event (3rd annual) August 22-24

Greetings,

I'll be at the meeting tonight, and may find time to pitch the concept
of the 3rd annual Philly Linux/Unix Symposium (PLUS) also known as Linux
Anniversary weekend.. I haven't really pushed too much this year, I think
I might have mentioned something a while ago.. but anyways... if people
are interested, we need to get cranking again...

basically it'll be august 22nd (friday) to 24th (sunday) (August 25th has
been adopted as the linux anniversary date... in 2001 some guys on the
west coast decisded to have a BBQ and I decided it was a good idea, and
did it.

Then in 2002 we did it again, with the help of darkspur (web
recreation) and pinkee (bar night) and Stan Pokras/NTR (swap meet
location).

So, I just realized, well, this is next month.. so we better start
cracking if we want this to happen...

We need someone to volunteer to create/recreate the webspace, we need a
place to host the webspace. (to see the original go to
http://philly.linux10.org/ ) Unfortunately 2002's recreation died in a
crash, and I no longer have direct access to the 2001 site.

We need people to host events, and peopole, if they wish to suggest
(and run) additional events..

What I'm thinking:
friday 22nd: bar night host (?) location (?)
saturday 23rd: swap meet (and more?) @ NTR maybe?
Sunday 24th Picnic/BBQ @ FDR park

Want to get involved ? host/styaff a demo day/install fest? some other
special event? know of other things going on that weekend that might be of
interest?
