Yup. Put a new NIC in and it's working great again. Box is on a UPS, as is the switch it is cabled to via Ethernet. That's all it's got, keyboard, Ethernet, and power - don't know why it got toasted, and slightly puzzled (but not enough to dwell on it) by being able to ping own IP address, I thought this was kind of a hardware test as it looped back passing through the card twice. Guess it was just a weird electrical failure. _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
