Could you provide a pointer to this?

I see that wget is still in debian, and has a home page at
http://wget.sunsite.dk/ according to
/usr/share/doc/wget/README.gz. It's available for download from the
FSF at ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/wget/.

Googling on wget and patent infringement hits the GPL, but not much
else.
