[PLUG] Mandrake Linux U.S. Distribution

Hello All:
I have a job offer from a very small company (I'll be employee #6) that
currently sells CRM software. I've been told by the company's founder
that they have just secured exclusive distribution rights to Mandrake in
the United States.
I'm naturally a bit skeptical. Has anyone heard anything about Mandrake
seeking a new U.S. distributor? I haven't been able to find anything
searching the web. I know that Mandrake is in financial trouble but
their site mentions nothing about any changes or developments.
The company is interesting even without the Mandrake deal because their
products are developed entirely in PHP with a MySQL back end. My
concern is really that there is some deception going on.
If anyone has heard anything please let me know. I'll be happy to offer
more details but I'd rather not post them on the list just in case.
