When booted into Window$, does Window$ use the same IP? 10.10.10.50

If Window$ uses the port successfully, then maybe GNU/Linux is messing up (or revealing a problem) when it comes to negotiating with the switch. Can you config the switch port to run at a specific speed? Or just try a different port?

Is the other host firewalled to not return echo requests?
