[PLUG] Kate Crashes on startup

Hi List,

This is a very peculiar and strange problem happening. Whenever I start kate, it eats up the whole swap and I am unable to do anything on the box. No matter what I try later, I need to reboot the stuff. Any ideas as what may be missing?

I did a fresh install of Mandrake Linux 9.1 on my machine and tried to run kate, again the same problem. Any clues, pointers? I tried strace but can't see any of logs. Umm I don't think machine configuration makes any difference, however here it is: P-4, 2.4 Ghz, 512 Mb RAM, Swap 1.5 GB but now reduced to 550Mb.

Regards,
McLinux
