Red Hat is Linux, NOT Unix. The two ARE different -- significantly different if you are comparing against *BSD Unix or ANY proprietary Unix (Tru64, HP-UX, AIX, Solaris, SGI, etc.) While the End-User interface may be the same or similar, from the System Administrators point of view, Linux and Unix, and each variant of either are quite different.
