c) php scripts

A good book wouldn't hurt.

a) After just installing Apache packages, read the HTML docs that will be present on your computer. All you really need to know is where to place your files.

b) (This should be swapped with "c".) Learn basic PHP, then learn the functions to connect to MySQL. Of course, it helps to learn some basic database theory. Just search the Web for examples.

c) Look at examples at http://www.php.net The function search on php.net is extremely useful; more so than using a book as a command reference.
