Title: RE: [PLUG] Usage ideas for home network...(a bit of OT ramblings)
I'd rather have my father's dream refrigerator.
After the door is open for 5 secs, it will automatically
shut, light will turn on, and a instant picture will pop
out of the door.
Then a voice says, "why not take a picture of it and shut the door" :)
I seem to remember a /. article on a linux controlled
alcohol dispenser that basically was a bunch of wiper pumps that
dispense different kinds of alcohols (and mix automatically).
That might work. Have Milk in one, water in another, etc...
and the system was setup so when it was empty it would email that
it needed to refilled. I could see a corner store niche here.
Get the email, fill the order, then email back that it's ready.
Keep fruit in a "basket" that has a scale under it, when the weight
reaches close to zero, refill order! Or someother kind of vending machine
style that dispenses one at a time. I just see it now, banging and
trying to knock at the refridgerator because your apple is stuck and
wont fall!
