Put a 40G Seagate in ($60.00). Put another 128M DDR ($35.00). I had a "remanufactured" CD writer just lying around from a couple of years ago. Put that in. Installed Red Hat 9. Everything works. I burn CDs, run MySQL, etc. Talks to a Win9x box via samba, no problems. Oh, did I mention I'm a newbie, don't really know what I'm doing? Box has been up 72 days. The last time it went down the power bounced and I don't have a UPS. I give it an OK. :-)
