I use two 566 mHZ machines -- one win98se (for my kids to use for HS stuff
that is always MS compatible only), and another Linux running fluxbox
(mostly). Mozilla 1.5 on both machines blazes on the win98 machine and
progressively bogs down in Linux (the longer I run it the slower it gets).
Surprisingly I have found kmail and konqueror under fluxbox (w/o KDE running)
is much much much faster than Mozilla on either machine (and doesn't slow
down over usage). What browser/wm are you using?
