In addition, Sun and Microsoft have agreed to pay royalties for use of each other's technology, with Microsoft making an up-front payment of $350 million and Sun making payments when this technology is incorporated into its server products." To me, at least, this paragraph does not seem to imply that Sun has pledged to spend all (or any particular portion of) the $2billion on MS integration. Rather, it seems that they and MS have agreed on a fee schedule for future technology licenses relating to such integration. That said, I agree with your analysis of who comes out on top when Sun sells MS products with their servers. -- Will Dyson "Back off man, I'm a scientist!" -Dr. Peter Venkman ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
