To me, at least, this paragraph does not seem to imply that Sun has pledged to spend all (or any particular portion of) the $2billion on MS integration. Rather, it seems that they and MS have agreed on a fee schedule for future technology licenses relating to such integration.


That said, I agree with your analysis of who comes out on top when Sun sells MS products with their servers.
