I upgraded sendmail on a debian/woody box today. Everything works except me sending mail. In the following example, the sendmail box is diderot, my workstation is asterix, and we can see mail sent from me (jeff@purple.com) to, well, it doesn't seem to get to To: Jun 5 13:33:58 diderot sm-mta[24593]: i55HXwlf024593: ruleset=check_mail, arg1=<jeff@purple.com>, relay=asterix.purple.com.0.168.192.in-addr.arpa [192.168.0.6] (may be forged), reject=553 5.1.8 <jeff@purple.com>... Domain of sender address jeff@purple.com does not exist Jun 5 13:33:58 diderot sm-mta[24593]: i55HXwlf024593: from=<jeff@purple.com>, size=1358, class=0, nrcpts=0, proto=ESMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=asterix.purple.com.0.168.192.in-addr.arpa [192.168.0.6] (may be forged) Jun 5 13:33:58 diderot sm-mta[24594]: i55HXwlf024594: from=<>, size=1297, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<E1BWf3O-0003TV-00@asterix.purple.com>, proto=ESMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=asterix.purple.com.0.168.192.in-addr.arpa [192.168.0.6] (may be forged) Jun 5 13:33:58 diderot sm-mta[24595]: i55HXwlf024594: to=<jeff@purple.com>, delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=local, pri=31548, dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent I do have purple.com in /etc/sendmail.cw. The config hasn't changed except for the upgrade this morning. Any thoughts where to look? I googled and just got more confused. I don't see anything in /etc/mail/sendmail.mc, which I think is where it's getting its config info. I'm not completely sure how debian is going about regenerating these config files, though. Mail *to* me works just fine, fortunately. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. -Jeff ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
