Why postfix over exim?

Postfix is a drop-in replacement for sendmail. And it's config file (singular) is human-readable, and doesn't need to be run through any macro processor. Plus there's never been a postfix security exploit.

I think the main reason that postfix has not been exploited is the same reason the Mac OSX is not exploited ... the user community is too small, especially amongst those would write the exploits. Though its use is expanding (it is now the MTA in OS X 10.3), it is still nowhere near as well known or widely used as Sendmail.
