I think the main reason that postfix has not been exploited is the same 
reason the Mac OSX is not exploited ... the user community is too 
small, especially amongst those would write the exploits. Though its 
use is expanding (it is now the MTA in OS X 10.3), it is still nowhere 
near as well known or widely used as Sendmail.
