[PLUG] exim 3 and aliases on verizon dsl

I an using exim3 and verizon dsl
I can fetch mail and send mail if i use the original
address vzeeei2z and password that they sent to me.

  I set up 2 aliases , sandy_b and s_basic.
I can send mail via a yahoo account to these
addresses and fetch it with fetchmail.\

I can not send mail from a user named sandy_b or
a user named s_basic. I got the "true" verizon name
for each of these accounts ,i.e.vze8wnd1 .
     I then made a user named vze8wnd1. I added the 4
lines in exim.conf to set up a second client named
vze8wnd1 and placed it just under the original client
auth data that worked.

I reloaded exim and sent a message to my yahoo
account
from user vze8wnd1.
verizon.net sent me back a message that vze8wnd1
was not authorized to send mail.
has anyone been able to do this?
sandy
