As Russell points out, Cavalier uses Rate-Adaptive ADSL, which is a branding of a specific vendor's hardware they install. What I meant, was that they don't use standard ADSL. It appears that is only true of some areas though, because if they use Verizon/ADSL in Center City, I'd assume that was standard ADSL technology. I was not referring to any other service provider's use of RADSL Gabe, I was being specific.
