Any idea which company has been talking to them ... Penn was first solicited about this exact concept about 10 years ago. Offhand I don't recall the outfit, but at the time, they claimed that they had wired "Berkeley" that way. [As it turned out, they told Berkeley that they had wired Philadelphia at the same time ... they didn't think that we would ever talk to each other, being on opposite coasts and all that. :) ]


This is not a new idea, despite the way the Inquirer article read. ... but then again, since the article quotes Street as saying ... "Philadelphia hasn't had a first in technology since UNIVAC."
