Description:

UNIX/Windows Server Analyst - Langhorne, PA
Basic Function:
This position is responsible for all Lenox UNIX and Windows-based server infrastructure and related peripherals. This infrastructure is installed at six Lenox facilities and externally contracted vendor sites such as web-hosting facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all network servers, backup systems, storage area networks, and any supporting platforms.
Primary responsibilities are the day-to-day administration, management, and maintenance of the Sun Solaris (UNIX) and Windows server environments. Configure servers, install and upgrade O/S software, and monitor, troubleshoot and repair software issues at the O/S level. Write and troubleshoot scripts (UNIX shell). Prepare system, process, and procedure documentation and diagrams. Perform capacity planning and provide performance metrics. Provide after-hours support. Participate in all phases of disaster recovery.
Must Requirements:
7 Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
7 Minimum two years experience in a Sun Solaris 8/9 environment
7 Working knowledge of Windows Server Environments
7 Experience with Hitachi SANs
7 Must be proficient in:
o SUN server hardware and components
o Veritas Cluster Technologies
o Veritas Foundation Suite Technologies
o Veritas Netbackup
o UNIX Systems Troubleshooting
o TCP/IP protocol suite and its utilities
7 Experience with VMWare and clustered, load-balanced infrastructures
7 Some experience in network services (load balancing, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, RADIUS, HTTP, SSH, SSL)
7 Client focused, able to work independently while interacting across different teams to accomplish projects
7 Ability to complete detailed quality documentation, project plans using MS project, network diagrams using Visio
7 Ability to effectively interact with vendors to present solutions and resolve issues
7 Ability to analyze, evaluate, and solve problems of a complex technical nature
7 Participate in establishing and maintaining operational procedures and SLAs
7 Strong skills in problem solving, problem resolution, troubleshooting, and team communications
7 Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Preferred Requirements:
7 One year of work experience with Oracle database environments
7 Experience with Solstice Disk Suite, NetIQ, and IIS
