dlopen(3) is not a system call. The system call associated with 
dynamically loading a shared library is mmap(2) or old_mmap(2), 
depending on your kernel and glibc version. Anything in section 3 of 
the man pages is a library call. Section 2 contains system calls.

This is the real indicator that the library was not being loaded.
