This is a request for help. The Exton PC Council, a group of home users that have been meeting in Exton on Rte 30 and 100 the past 20 years, we are in need of a speaker about "LINUX on the Desktop". I had arranged for a LINUX person to speak this coming Monday night 01/10/05 at 6:30pm at our meeting place, the Exton Library. Unfortunately, work will take him out of town on that night. And we have already advertised the meeting topic. The topic is "Alternatives for your Desktop", with 30-40 minutes about Macintosh, and 30-40 minutes on LINUX. The LINUX speker is the one who cannot make the meeting. The audience is around 25 home PC users, and receptive to all presentations (and it can be good practice for public speaking since it is such a small group). As one of the directors at EPCC, I thought I would try here for a last minute replacement. ( With everyone so busy these days, I doubt that I will find a kind soul to fill in at this last moment, but I thought I would post something here. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.) http://www.extonpccouncil.org/EPCC_Schedule_of_Events/EPCC_Main_Meeting/epcc_m ain_meeting.htm Please reply to me directly for more info mailto:jvoris@axs2000.net or call cell 610 574-3813 ...............
