If Prata's C++ Primer Plus is anything like his C Primer Plus, then I
think you'll find this sizeable tome a very good one. C Primer Plus was
very Unix-oriented in its approach, IIRC, gcc was the compiler used for
the exercises. I liked it b/c I'm a beginner and I understood it. You
might not like it for those reasons.
