Hi all- Purchased my first scanner and am trying to get it to work with my Debian Sarge box. I bought a Visioneer 7300 which is listed on the supported list on SANE's website so I thought I'd be good to go. I did recognize my scanner, but I seem to be missing files: # scanimage -L device `gt68xx:libusb:002:002' is a Visioneer OneTouch 7300 flatbed scanner # xscanimage [gt68xx] WARNING: Your scanner is not fully supported or at least [gt68xx] had only limited testing. Please be careful and [gt68xx] report any failure/success to [gt68xx] henning@meier-geinitz.de. Please provide as many [gt68xx] details as possible, e.g. the exact name of your [gt68xx] scanner and what does (not) work. [gt68xx] Couldn't open firmware file (neither `/usr/share/sane/gt68xx/Cis3r5b1.fw' nor `/usr/share/sane/gt68xx/cis3r5b1.fw'): No such file or directory I do not have either of these files on my system and e-mailed henning for more info. Are these files supposed to be provided by the lib-sane or sane packages or do I need to get them some other way? I feel like I'm missing something basic here...
