I recommend Libranet. It is fast, works well, and previous versions
are available free.
I installed their free 2.0 version on a lark (my first exposure to debian-
based linux) and to my surprise it has become my primary desktop os for
the past couple of years. I have kept it updated with Debian stable via
apt-get and could not ask for more.
If you'd like more support, they sell their current version for a reasonable
price--likely worth every penny.
