-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Geoff Rivell: | I hope to get into this as well. I just wish ComCast Digital would work with | it. Would love to be able to record HBO/ESPN/CSN in HD. If you have minimal building and soldering skills, you can use InfraRed controls with MythTV or Freevo (I'm not familiar with Freevo at all) and Lirc to control the cable box at least theoretically, and use that to provide programming for MythTv's input. The downside is that this practice only allows one program to be either watched or recorded at one time. Of course if the analog signal provided with digital cable has the desired channels, it's not a problem. Link to how to build and I believe it has a link to an IRBlaster already built. http://losdos.dyndns.org:8080/public/mythtv-info/MythTV_DISH_IR_LED_TX_via_Modified_LIRC.html -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1-cvs (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFCWIHkB+CVpMicgL4RAnR+AJ4tMmFrrr/Clis4nHY9sV+N2ebVTQCgio/3 tzyhQzwM7l8n8zFGt/Q3m0I= =1TZa -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
