Almost any modern DVD drive will work with Linux. You don't state whether you have a SCSI or IDE system, but recent versions work quite well for playing DVDs and using DVD-R/RWs for storage with DVD writers. I've had good luck with NECs recently but they were also some of the cheapest I could find that could record and play Dual sided media. You might instead want to pick out a model or two and ask if anyone has had problems with that model or that brand. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFCqE+jB+CVpMicgL4RAofQAJ9X6hk/tgjPproli/Lr0b+J3ysQ4gCgju4Z kChCEPaqxiUFQWVEyNQCQXU= =P+iI -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
