Recently tried using Vidalinux (http://desktop.vidalinux.com) it is supposed to be gentoo with a friendly installer. Being that i work all day the last thing i want to do is come home and fight compile errors. (vida is version 1.1... maybe i should wait a bit...) The source-based distros appeal to me but they dont seem to work out in the long run. And i don't have the time to embark in the arduous gentoo install to see the same compile errors. Opinions on people's favourite package managers or replacement os's are welcome... -Jeff ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
