In Windows, this is accomplished by configuring the port w.x.y.z as a printer port, and printing to a prinlinux tcp/ip printint device attached to that port. How can I do something comparable using linux? A nice way is with CUPS. Install it, then use its handy intuitive web interface on localhost:631 to configure the printer.
