Re: [PLUG] $15 DSL

VZ can offer DSL service on a "Dry Line". Regardless of what they tell you. No dialtone, no telco bill.

On occasion, this can be done through a "partner" when a customer has no VZ land based line whatsoever installed at the location so YMMV when going through VZ as the ISP as opposed to a partner ordering service through the ILEC.

Also, VZ as well as any other alternative telecom carrier (cell service included) recommends that people still have dialtone in their home from a land based line, mainly due to reliability and liability issues with regards to "lifeline" services.

Subject: [PLUG] $15 DSL

Has anyone mentioned that Verizon offers 768k DSL for $15 per month?

Interesting. I was told that I need a wired phone to get DSL. But,
Verizon offers VoIP. So...if I have DSL with VoIP, I wouldn't have a
traditional wired phone. Then how could I have DSL to use VoIP?!
