-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 OK, so I'm down to the 2 choices: 1. DCANet: - must have Verizon Phoneline ($40 install + $12/month) (~1 week) - $99 install fee - $59/month (w/ student discount) for 3M/768k (they're not sure if it's avail, they need a phone number first) - ~1 week after phoneline is installed - good refs - safe 2. Cavalier: - $50/month for 10M/1M (up to) - $36 install fee + $10 shipping fee for modem - either really good refs OR really bad refs - bad refs: people called with a problem, took forever to solve, said will be called and never were - good refs: good speeds, stable - Called yesterday, said they didn't know speeds/avail in the area, will send someone to test and call me today or Wed - called back today with results - risky I'm tempted to go with 2., but not sure if it's worth the risk. If people could give me some suggestions (again), it would be greatly appreciated. - -Cos - -- GPG key fingerprint = DE9F 4664 E666 2BD1 903E 4F4D EA31 5FB1 C7F9 08C1 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDFHYy6jFfscf5CMERAmIqAJ9qMZXPXujOIpudCLj45kjckBEcIwCgkV9+ 6NCOlNi0tZK8KfzhaY6vij8= =yF3f -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
